Representatives with Expert Heavy Equipment (EHE) announced an initiative it has started in order to create strategic partnerships with used heavy equipment buyers in Mexico.
“Because the US dollar continues to strengthen, we are committed to exploring safe options of sourcing used construction equipment outside the United States and selling it to qualified Mexican buyers”, Wise explained.
According to Wise, EHE has already established relationships and vetted Japanese suppliers. The three primary reasons to purchase from Japan: (1) heavy equipment in Japan is serviced and maintained meticulously; (2) the operators are well trained; (3) the delivered cost will be 20% – 25% cheaper than purchasing equipment in the United States.
“Mexican buyers can purchase used construction equipment that has been well maintained, at cheaper price points. The only short-fall is the time for delivery. It will take approximately 25 days from port to port. However, the price and condition of the equipment outweighs the time-frame,” Wise explained.
