Equipment Watch released their most recent market data reviewing the different segments on Auctions for 2013. Based on the data they provided, the average unit sales prices began plateauing in June – July time-frame. In addition, after experiencing a full year of price decreases, the Komatsu wheel loader had a notable price increase in Q1 13. This trend was short lived though as the prices continue to decline.
The price decreases are happening in part based on the growing supply and the lessening demand from the mining industry. From previous year sales, the top 5 regions all experienced an increase in total volume sales. The largest increase was seen in the Canadian market.
