Representatives with Expert Heavy Equipment announced today that it is now a resource in which buyers and sellers of heavy construction or farm equipment can use to determine the fair market value.
“We are a resource to get general market pricing whether they are buying and or selling,” said Milissa Wise, Director of Operations for Expert Heavy Equipment, the parent company of the recently launched EHE Auctions.
Wise explained that currently there is not a standardized resource for assessing the value of heavy construction or farm equipment, which means that most individual owners and companies become dependent on the appraiser, dealership or broker to provide them with a value, which she says, is usually subjective.
“Expert Heavy Equipment offers a free pricing resource that provides third party market data validating the fair market value on equipment based on general details of the machine,” Wise pointed out, before adding, “For example, Equipment Trader Online will provide a Price Checker, which shows the highest price, lowest price and average price of a piece of equipment. We are bringing transparency to the marketplace that has not existed before.”
Wise stressed that its market pricing service helps to provide the seller and or buyer negotiating power and saves time in doing the research.
The company spokeswoman went on to note that its service comes in handy, especially for their subsidiary, EHE Auctions. This tool helps sellers understand the value of their equipment so that they can set a realistic reserve; increasing the sell-through rate. EHE Auctions is holding their next event on Nov. 5.
Buyers and sellers, she said, can view the catalog for the the upcoming auction at EHE Auctions.
After viewing the catalog items, Wise said, interested buyers can try its Market Pricing service to get an assessment at no cost.
Josh Odom of Louisiana, who used the Expert Heavy Equipment’s Market Pricing service as a seller, gave it two thumbs up.
“I contacted Expert Heavy Equipment about finding the value of my Komatsu excavator,” he recalled. “They provided a report with data confirming the fair market value on my machine. I asked them if they were interested in buying and they did. They were transparent and extremely easy to do business with. I highly recommend them.”
